About Us - Why We Exist

We all know AI is here to stay. It’s shaping how we work, learn, and create, but it also comes with a cost: energy, water, and emissions that affect our planet. In today’s market, giving up on AI isn’t realistic, but the idea is to use it effectively and consciously.

That’s why I created UX Collie, a project where design, AI and environmental consciousness walk side by side. Inspired by the best friend I ever had, the border collie Brandon, this space turns complex ideas into simple, visual guides that anyone can follow.

The word collie comes from old Scottish dialects, meaning “useful” or “faithful.” I chose this name because it reflects the values behind the project: to create something useful, effective, and conscious, but also playful and light-hearted, like enjoying a moment with a dog.

And here’s the most important part: UX Collie is not about profit. Every cent raised through these eBooks will be donated to animal charities like Dogs Trust Ireland, helping real dogs live safer, happier lives.

So when you buy a guide here, you’re not only learning how to design better with AI, you’re also giving back, one paw at a time.
